Published in 12 parts over 6 volumes, Willis’ work is a vast collection of biographical notices of some of the most notable Irish figures in history. Volume III Part II was published in 1841 and continues the Political series covering the 17th Century This part begins with the conclusion of the section on James, Duke of Ormond. Also included are Thomas Butler, Earl of Ossory, Arthur Chester, First Earl of Donegal, Richard Talbot, Earl of Tyrconnell, Rev. George Walker, Governor of Londonderry, Gustavus Hamilton, Viscount Boyne, Goddart De Ginckle, Earl of Athlone, and James, the Second Duke of Ormond. The parts are being made available here as they appear in the bound versions.
