What is inside?

Beginning with the earliest recorded commencements and continuing up to Christmas 1868 this publication contains a list of over 21,500 graduates who received degrees from Trinity College Dublin. The list includes name, and in most cases degree awarded and the year. (In some cases degree and year awarded were not available from the records consulted). If the graduate received a further degree from the university this is also recorded. The publication includes a lengthy introduction by the noted academic and historian James H. Todd, Regis Professor of Hebrew and Senior Fellow of Trinity College. This introduction describes the sources used to compile the list of graduates as well as a history of the university.
