The Red Book of Ossory now available online.

The important medieval manuscript The Red Book of Ossory is now available online for free through the archives of the Church of Ireland. The Red Book contains a wide range of documents most notably from Bishop Richard Ledred. Also included is the earliest known distillation recipe in an Irish manuscript. The manuscript is also famous for its inclusion of Latin lyrics, some composed by Ledred himself. With about 25 of the lyrics relating to the nativity it is just in time for Christmas!
